I Greet the Christmas Season without Judgment.

With mindful thought, I greet, embrace, and celebrate this Christmas Season with positive expectancy. The Season of Light has three good traditions and I choose to reflect on each tradition without judgment.
1. The traditional Bible story of the birth of Jesus from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke serves to remind us of the goodness of the traditional message understood by many people. We can choose to see this tradition with all the songs, colors, and images as good.
2. The tradition of the commercial Christmas with the shopping for gifts and presents for family and friends reminds of the goodness of sharing our abundance with others. This tradition also supports our economy and we can chose to see this as good.
3. The tradition of the metaphysical Christmas affords us an opportunity to reflect on our own inner rebirthing of the Christ. Each character in the Gospel story represents a way for us to resonate with the symbolic meanings of the angels, shepherds, wise ones, etc. We can choose to see this tradition as a reminder that “God is with us” and we are connected deeply to this good Truth.
Hence, as we greet, embrace, and celebrate the Christmas Season, we can call each and every tradition Good. We need not judge one better or worse than another. I believe that we can focus on the Good of each tradition and we will truly experience the rich blessings of this Season of Light.

13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. - Luke 2: 13-14
